Conducted once a week. Refer to studio policy for replacement class arrangements.
Intermediate or advanced-level experience on Lyra, Silks or Trapeze required.
90 minutes per session. Maximum of 9 students per session.
1. Able to pull yourself off the ground with no assistance
2. Comfortable with spinning
3. Able to perform short sequences smoothly
AFS students who have completed beginners and level 1.5 can choose this apparatus in level 2. Students from other studios will have to arrange for a private session to be assessed if they are eligible. Aerial Hammocks is a loop of aerial fabric with then ends connected to a swivel for dynamic movements. Students in this level move through creative flow sequences, both in and out of the hammocks, transition while piecing together a series of basic aerial tricks and transitions. Some of these movements will allow you to flip upside down or allow you to stand suspended in air.
